Q: Why is it essential my builder is registered with CIRI?

A: CIRI, or Construction Industry Register Ireland, is the register of competent builders, contractors, specialist sub-contractors and tradesperson who carry out construction work in Ireland. CIRI is supported by Government and is used as a measure of competence of builders for the type of construction work they are registered to undertake. There is also a requirement under that scheme for builders undertake continual professional development (CPD).

Q: Can I make a change to the project once work has begun?

A: It depends on the type of change and when the request occurs, but typically you can do this. Please note that such changes can greatly impact the cost.
